5 Travel Essentials To Bring On Every Vacation

Do you ever go on vacation, get to your destination, open your luggage and think “Oh no!  I should have brought _______.”  Well, you’re not alone.  I can’t tell you the number of times I have been on vacation and realized that I forgot some very essential items.

I don’t want this to happen to you.  So, with a lot of brainstorming and a lot of experience, I have brought you the ultimate list of 5 essential items every gal should bring on every vacation.

Moisturizer with SPF

Sure, you remembered to pack some sunscreen, but what about some for your face?  Your face is the most delicate part of your skin that is affected by the sun.  Not only does forgetting an SPF for your face means you won’t have sun protection, but it also means that your skin will be tight and dry from the effects of the sun.  Don’t let this happen.  Always bring a moisturizer that has SPF in it.

Mineral Makeup

Makeup may seem like an essential item but naturalmineral makeup is even more beneficial.  Because you’re on vacation, you may not always have set plans.  You’ll go to bed late, forget to wash your face, and wake up with irritated skin that could even be alit with clogged pores.  Not with mineral makeup!  Mineral makeup is such a gentle type of makeup that it goes on quickly, easily, and it can stay on your skin for long periods of time without doing any harm. Also, try a mineral-based bronzing powder for that sun-kissed glow without harmful UV-rays!

Makeup Wipes

While vacationing in different places, you may not always be able to wash your face as well as you’d like before bed.  Or maybe you just want to take your makeup off to redo it in between activities.   Makeup wipes will be essential for this.  You wouldn’t want to wake up each day still wearing yesterday’s makeup, would you?

Dry Shampoo

Most of my vacations consist of camping (mostly because it’s cheaper), which means a shower is not always available to me whenever I want one.  Instead of running around all day long looking like a grease ball, I use dry shampoo.  Whenever I bring this (which is always now) I am so grateful for it.  It’s so easy to just sprinkle a bit on my roots and call it a day instead of trying to track down a shower on a campsite.

Chapped lips while you’re on vacation are the WORST.  Yet somehow, I always forget to bring it! Red, dry, and cracked lips are something I want to avoid at all costs – especially when I’m hitting the beach every day and there’s an increased risk of it.  Make sure your chapstick has SPF included in it.  You will also want to bring a back-up in case you lose one of them!

Forgetting essential items on vacation can turn a relaxing week into a nightmare really quickly!  Remember these 5 items and your time away will go much more smoothly.
